College City Beverage Expansion Completion

HDA Architects recently completed a 74,000 square foot warehouse expansion for College City Beverage in Dundas, Minnesota. The expansion includes 69,000 square feet of warehouse space and 5,000 square feet of draught cooler space. The building envelope is constructed with conventional steel framing, insulated loading bearing precast wall panels, and single ply roofing with R30 roof insulation over prefinished galvanized metal deck.

The mechanical system used on the expansion utilizes the existing chilled water system and the space features LED high bay lighting throughout. The owner had to expand their detention pond to accommodate the expansion, so we designed an asphalt walking trail around the pond.

"HDA makes the whole process very easy for us.  They handle everything right from the beginning; interviewing contractors, taking care of the permitting process, all of it.  All we have to do is listen and approve of what we want for our building.  They handle the rest.  This allows us to stay focused on our business day to day and not have to take a lot of time form our normal work to focus on construction.  Even after the construction is complete, they are in contact to make sure everything is still running smoothly.  We truly enjoy working with HDA because of the great customer service." -Chris Sawyer, President, College City Beverage
